Q. How durable is
bamboo?
A. With proper
maintenance bamboo can retain its original beauty for years.
Of course outdoor placement
will require more frequent maintenance than indoor
placement. Maintenance consists of spraying with
water-seal products or lacquer.
The most
important treatment is the treatment that Bamboo Creasian
products undergo at our factory in Vietnam long before we
deliver the product to you. You can read more about

Your routine maintenance with a water seal product will
preserve the effectiveness of our factory treatment for
years to come. And it will make it very easy to rinse
off when your bamboo gets dusty or dirty.
Q. How do I keep
bamboo from cracking?
A.
Here again, the first line of defense against cracking is
the
quaternary compound
that we apply to our bamboo with our high pressure and
temperature treatment at the factory before we ship to you.
Regular application of a water seal product will keep this
protection intact as well as preserve the original color and
beauty.
Q. When I think
of bamboo fence, I think of the rolls of fencing sold at a
hardware store. After six months it starts flaking and
turning gray. How is your bamboo fencing different?
A. There are 400
kinds of bamboo in the world. The bamboo you are
thinking of is “reed” bamboo. It is of the consistency
of reeds of grass found along a river. The bamboo that
Bamboo Creasian sells is “pole” bamboo. Every product
that we sell comes from poles of bamboo. Even our
bamboo mats are made of veneer of bamboo pole—not reeds of
bamboo. You can think of the difference as the
difference between solid wood and flaky leaves.
Q. How do I
prevent mold and mildew?
A.
By buying from Bamboo Creasian you are insuring against mold
and mildew. Because Bamboo Creasian, unlike most
suppliers of bamboo, treats all of our bamboo products at
our factory with our proprietary
high-pressure, high-temperature
quaternary compound.
Q. Can I order
custom contoured (pre-bent) bamboo poles?
A.
Yes, Bamboo Creasean can shape a bamboo pole to order at our
factory before final factory treatment. But it is only
one kind of bamboo pole that is capable of this kind of
contour treatment. And only Bamboo Creasian carries
this bamboo. It is our new “iron bamboo” product.
